FAQ

What is The Professions Cloud?

An independent publication that researches AI tools and the rules around them for eight professions: real estate agents, accountants and bookkeepers, lawyers, therapists, financial advisors, recruiters, insurance agents and contractors. We publish tool comparisons, pricing breakdowns and plain-English explainers on the laws and regulations that apply. See about us.

Who writes the guides?

Our editorial team: an editor-in-chief, three reviewing editors, and at least one specialist for each profession we cover. Team members have asked to stay anonymous, so guides are published under a shared byline. More on the editorial team page.

Do you test the tools yourselves?

No, and we say so. Our guides are research-based: we read pricing pages, terms, documentation and regulations, and look for patterns in public user feedback. We never claim hands-on testing we haven't done. The full process is on how we research.

Do you use AI to write your guides?

Yes. We use AI tools to help find and organize sources, summarize long documents and draft guides. AI never has the final word: every fact links to a source that's been checked, and every guide is reviewed by our editors before it's published. Details are in our editorial policy.

How do you make money?

Through display advertising and, for some tools, affiliate links that may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Neither ever decides a ranking, and no vendor can pay for placement. See our affiliate disclosure.

Can a company pay to be featured or ranked higher?

No. We don't sell rankings, reviews, placements or removals. Several of the tools we recommend have no affiliate program at all.

How current are the prices and facts?

Every guide shows when it was last updated and the date its prices and facts were last checked. Prices change often, so check the vendor's own page before you buy. Each guide ends with its full list of sources.

Is this legal, tax or financial advice?

No. Our guides are general information and a well-sourced starting point. For decisions about your own practice, talk to a qualified attorney, accountant, compliance officer or adviser.

Which professions do you cover?

Real estate agents, accountants and bookkeepers, lawyers, therapists, financial advisors, recruiters, insurance agents, and contractors and home services. Browse them from the Professions menu at the top of any page.

How often do you publish?

Regularly, with a focus on new rules, pricing changes and tools that matter to each profession. Existing guides are revisited when rules or prices change, and changes are logged at the bottom of each guide.

I found a mistake. How do I report it?

Email us via the contact page with the page and what's wrong. We'll check it against the source, fix it if we got it wrong, and note the correction on the page.

Can I suggest a tool or topic?

Please do. Write to us. Reader requests shape much of what we cover next.

Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?

No. We don't publish guest posts, sponsored articles or paid reviews.

Can I use your content?

You're welcome to quote short excerpts with a link back to the original guide. Please don't republish full guides. See our terms of use.

How do you handle my data?

We use analytics to understand which guides help people, and ads to fund the site. Visitors in the EU, UK and similar regions choose whether to allow cookies, and anyone can change their choice with "Privacy choices" in the footer. Full details are in our privacy policy.
